Paade Mode is excited to showcase its FW17/18 collection, "Word Is Round," at RIGA FASHION WEEK
Paade Mode is honored to present its FW1718 Collection, "World Is Round," during the 26th RIGA FASHION WEEK at the end of March.
Over its twelve years, RIGA FASHION WEEK has become the foremost event in the fashion industry, not only in Latvia but also throughout North-eastern Europe. It consistently discovers new talented Latvian designers whose collections gain international acclaim over time. Paade is proud to contribute to showcasing Latvian design, especially in children’s wear.
The Paade Mode FW1718 collection draws inspiration from the depths of winter woods, cultural and architectural legacies, in conjunction with Gertrude Stein’s minimalist and modernist aesthetics in children’s literature. The collection envisions a magical world characterized by simplicity, ease, and straightforward nature.
Paade Mode maintains classic and traditional silhouettes while infusing them with daring, edgy prints, color combinations, and contrasting details, resulting in timeless, contemporary, and design-led premium quality garments. This season, the brand opts for a more muted, wintery color palette, refreshing it with lush prints and textures. Earthy tones harmonize with pops of brights and metallics. Liberty fabrics, softest Portuguese flannel cottons, velvet, and silk are paired with textures of the finest Japanese merino wool, Italian Alpaca, mohair, and jacquard, adding a special hand-crafted quality and legacy. The brand's signature look includes color blocking and meticulous attention to detail. Custom design embroidery and jacquard knitwear patterns define this season’s aesthetic.
This season, Paade Mode introduces a limited edition collaboration with artist Brigita Stroda. Her handcrafted crowns embody a quality and story meant to be passed down from generation to generation.
The Paade Mode catwalk is scheduled for April 1st at the Radisson Blu Latvia Hotel.
